Blake Alder joined Brighton Corporation in winter 2008, to manage the company’s operational activities and financial portfolio. His professional experience includes over 20 years of public accounting, corporate finance and senior/executive level operational management.

Blake received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Utah in 1985. He currently focuses on increasing efficiencies throughout the company. Blake prepares risk assessment and performance measurements for each real estate investment or entity within the company portfolio. His strong accounting background is invaluable in analyzing strategic finance/investments and profit projections.

His career in accounting began in 1985 with Arthur Andersen & Company in Salt Lake City. Blake’s analytical prowess combined with his organizational and people skills quickly elevated him to upper management. He has served as CFO, CEO and Controller for widely recognized companies such as H.J. Heinz Company, Norco Windows and Deluxe Ice Cream. Blake’s long-time friendship with David Turnbull and his respect for the business that he, Matt and Peter have built was key to his decision to join Brighton Corporation, and turn his attention to real estate development.

Blake’s community involvement includes serving on the Ore-Ida Council – Board of Directors for Boy Scouts of America, along with various church-related services.

Blake resides in Boise with his wife Sheryl and their youngest son, Preston. Their three older sons are scattered across the country, each pursuing his personal interests. Blake’s hobbies include spending time with his family, golfing, skiing and watching his youngest son’s various sporting events.
