Through his leadership and expertise, David has extended Brighton's portfolio into commercial and residential developments with a focus on mixed-use communities. His distinguished resume includes projects nationally recognized for their design, architecture and customer service. Committed to Treasure Valley's planned growth, David actively participates in key business and government boards and committees. He has guided Brighton into a leadership position in the community, giving back through land donations and improvements for community projects such as the West Family YMCA, Cecil Andrus Elementary School and Paramount Elementary School sites, and several public parks.
David received a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from Brigham Young University in 1983. In addition, he was valedictorian of the Bonneville High School graduating class of 1977.
Since joining Brighton Corporation in 1990, David has developed over 4,000 home sites and two million square feet of commercial buildings in Boise, Meridian and Nampa. He purchased 50% ownership in the company in 1992 and structured the company with separate operating entities to specialize in each segment of the marketplace. David remains actively involved in every facet of plan, design, construction and marketing for each project.
David resides in Eagle with his wife, Kristin, their sons, Daniel, Dallan, McKay, and their daughter Jordan. He has a wide range of interests including travel, cycling, tennis, skiing, books, history and architecture.
