Hobble Creek and Boise Research Center represent one of the largest and earliest mixed-use developments in Boise, Idaho. Covering 320 acres, Hobble Creek and Boise Research Center includes 383 homes, 288 apartments and 1.5 million square feet of office, retail and light industrial space. Significant employers include EDS, DirecTV, Marvell Technology Group, Hewlett Packard and many others. At the heart of the community is a truly magnificent public complex that includes the YMCA, Boise City Aquatic Center, the 20-acre Hobble Creek Community Park and the Cecil D. Andrus Elementary School.

When designing Hobble Creek, Brighton Corporation revisited a practice from a bygone era by detaching the sidewalks from the curb and lining the streets with shade trees. This created a beautiful, pedestrian-friendly environment that has since become the standard for quality development in the Treasure Valley.
