Located in downtown Boise, the Idaho Independent Bank Building includes six floors with more than 80,000 square feet of office space. Marquis tenants include Microsoft's Boise operations and, as the name suggests, the Boise headquarters for Idaho Independent Bank. The building incorporates several energy-efficient measures such as a geothermal water heating system. Before its opening in July 2007, Brighton developers realized improvements needed to be made in the neighborhood. The intersection of 5th and Front Streets saw the most traffic accidents of any intersection in Boise, and 4th Street was closed to traffic, posing a potential access problem once the building was open for business. Working with the Ada County Highway District, Brighton helped fund a new traffic signal at 5th and Front and opened 4th Street. The site became more accessible, and commuters from all areas were safer when navigating the intersection.
